Join Maryland Environmental Trust on Thursday and Friday, May 16-17, for the
Th 2019 Maryland Land Conservation Conference and Symposium will occur on Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17 at the Maritime Conference Center in Linthicum Heights, Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
Each year, this Conference gathers the land trust community and its partners to connect, learn, share, and celebrate our collective work. It is also an opportunity to look to the future and imagine what must be done to ensure that land conservation remains a central value in our communities. The conference offers the time and place for all present to consider how our work is advancing the broad community goals for health, vitality, and the future well-being of all Marylanders.
This year, MET plans to host a two day event. Day one (May 16) will feature our traditional conference offerings including a keynote, special lunch speaker, education sessions and workshops and networking opportunities. Themes for this year’s education sessions include: Conservation Innovation in Agriculture; Frontiers in Conservation Financing and Advanced Topics in Conservation. More information for day one is available:
The Land Conservation Symposium on day two (May 17) is an opportunity for newly elected and veteran county representatives and administrators to gather and discuss how State conservation programs and land trusts can be useful partners for advancing the quality of life and economic vitality goals for counties, cities and towns.
